It may be mostly penguins here for the next few weeks! First time seeing them in the wild. Taking photos from a small boat means some are less crisp than I'd prefer, but it's hard to go wrong with wild penguins. Maiquillahue Island, Chile, has Humboldt and Magellanic penguins. #birds #photography

Four gulls (I think Kelp gulls) and a pelican (Peruvian?) stand at the top of a rocky island. The rocks are dark with streaks of guano. The gulls are white and black with yellow beaks. These funny ibises are all over Niebla, Chile. The one in the middle is tooting its horn. They sound a bit like a laughing chicken. I don't have a recording, but if you want a chuckle, check out black-faced ibis call on youtube. #birds #photography #nature
