Wow! 20 years at USF. Started as a tenure track Assistant Professor now full professor and Chair of the department of anthropology. Time flies. Most proud of all the students I have advised and learned from and the many graduates who have gone on to make a difference wherever they are.

Yes! Support the fight for cemetery access to Talbird Cemetery on Hilton Head Island by the Gullah Geechee community. The cemetery is now “…squeezed between a scenic creek and a luxury condominium.”

We’re saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Tampa City Councilmember Gwendolyn Henderson. Gwen showed up every day with passion, and a deep commitment to the people of District 5. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts and community.

She’ll be deeply missed by of us at New Tampa Democrats.

Yes-Cemetery histories are community histories&stories. In St. Pete, FL, including the history of Oaklawn, Evergreen, and Moffett cemeteries and descendant knowledge must be done in order to move forward.
