As part of Black History Month we have been learning a Claudia Jones ‘The Mother of The Notting Hill Carnival’. We listened to steel drum music while making our own carnival masks. @antorightsps.bsky.social
This afternoon we continued with our class novel - we worked in pairs and became inventors to create our sweet treat.. we used verbs and adjectives to describe it.
Yesterday we enjoyed studying character names and how they can influence what we think about them.. there are some great names in our Novel. We then created our own characters using name prompts.
This morning we developed a number of literacy skills, we read a model text, highlighted words we were unsure of then used a dictionary to find their meaning.
