James Talarico: Does your bill replacing counselors with untrained religious chaplains require them to have any training/qualifications?

Republican: No

Talarico: I offered an amendment to require school chaplains to respect freedom of religion, and you refused to accept that?

Republican: Correct

Honored to meet with Black faith leaders in Central Texas.

From the sanctuary to the streets, clergy have been on the frontlines in the fight for a better world.

Together, we’ll build a Texas where all of our neighbors are loved.

James Talarico: My family’s from South Texas. Voters there feel betrayed by both parties, and many voted for Trump last year. Now everything is more expensive and corruption is the worst it's been. It is incumbent upon us persuade these voters to join us to stop the extremism and corruption

James Talarico: What would Jesus do about a healthcare system that forces the sick to start GoFundMe pages to afford life-saving surgeries? We Christians are called to do more than charity. We are called to challenge the systems that make charity necessary.

James Talarico: Imagine a Democratic Party that takes on big money and isn't captured by it. Imagine a Democratic Party that delivers for people on housing, healthcare, education, and actually defeats the right-wing extremists who have taken over this country.

Big turnout for James Talarico in San Antonio 👀
I started my career as a public school teacher on the westside of San Antonio.

Now I’m back as a candidate for the U.S. Senate.

This city taught me how to fight for working families — and I’m ready to take that fight to our nation’s capital.

NEW: Talarico leads Allred by 6 points, 48% to 42%, despite facing a 28 point name ID deficit.

Without going up on air, Talarico was still able to surge 36 points in just 2 months, a feat attributable to a massive earned and social media presence.

Three men — Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos — now own more wealth than 165 million Americans combined.

They own the media.
They own the algorithms.
They own politicians in both parties.

The system is rigged — but We the People can take it back.

Jesus spent most of his time healing the sick.

Today, we have politicians in Congress with “Christ-follower” in their Twitter bios — but they’re trying to kick the sick off their healthcare.

And they’re willing to shut down the government to do it.

Great crowd for @jamestalarico.bsky.social in the small town of Hillsboro, TX!

The organizers said it was the biggest crowd they’ve ever seen at a political event in deep-red Hillsboro.

This is how we win Texas.

I just went on Fox News to tell the truth about the redistricting power grab in Texas.

I asked a simple question: “If Republican policies are so popular, why do they need to redraw these maps; why not run on their policies?”

He refused to answer — and cut the interview early.
