Indie yarn dyer outside of Nashville TN . Cat momma, music lover, and student of languages. Knitting in coffee shops is my favorite thing ☕
Wanting to share my yarn (and ribbon) haul today from my local art thrift shop.
I know pricing is a difficult topic but I want to share that sometimes an art thrift shop can still get you what you're looking for.
All of this was $126
Regular would have been around $280+/-

This was a really great pattern. I think I personally would only do it with DK weight though.
The pattern is SKYP socks by Adrienne Ku
The yarn is a discontinued colorway of mine "strawberry smoothie" but I'm thinking of bringing it back.

So excited I've kept this orchid slices for 2 years. I didn't know if it would bloom. I hope the rest of the buds bloom

My toxic trait is that I will spend time on my phone, put said phone away and then immediately pick it back up to look at the time.

Ugh, made a dumb ass mistake with my inventory and had to let a very special customer know about it. I feel awful. Mistakes happen but it doesn't stop me from feeling like crap because I put that listing out in the world.

Nothing like having shelves full of yarn and nothing that goes together for colorwork socks. Ugh 😣

I feel stuck between a rock and a hard spot. On one hand I'm a yarn dyer. I sell yarn. I teach people how to dye yarn. I make money selling yarn. On the other hand I get tired of seeing so much commercialism in crafting.
But I'm also a part of that.
I guess I'm just trying to learn to navigate.

I generally need to get better at telling people what my job is. It just seems weird to me sometimes to say "yarn dyer". I had a Dr's appt this morning. They ask me my occupation and I tell them. Well that turns into a happy conversation with the Dr about yarn and knitting.
I need to do this more.
