And I’m recovering from a jaw surgery that is mildly annoying on a good day. I believe things can get better. But right now I’m struggling hard.

So all of this, my stagnating job, finances not really going anywhere, and the state of trans rights in the country right now are all hitting me at once. I’m having a fairly deep depressive episode right now and even the thought of fur con travel planning is stressing me out…

But that also means I’ve not thought seriously enough about things long term, because well, I’m really not sure if my heart will hold up years from now. I’m already seeing tests that indicate another similar heart surgery is in my future. And those are harder the older I get…

For the last 8+ years since my open heart surgery my mantra has been to live in the moment because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. That has allowed me so many cool opportunities. I bought a house, transitioned, found my partners, and traveled around the country…
