I'm now replaying Binary Domain and it has some great ideas around AI, though some of the script hasn't aged well.

I still hold onto a little hope that RGG Studio will make a sequel.

There's a few of us still knocking about. I've been doing this since 2011 and the amount of games I want to cover is more than the time I have for them. I've got a release date calendar of lots of small indie games, and I'm making a conscious decision to focus my news and review energy on them.
That's Dark Void done. It had some fun ideas that could have been executed better. Story was all over the place though. Next up, I'm revisiting Spec Ops: The Line.
So far it's the kind of game that is good to switch your mind off to, and that's what I need.
I've never played it and I've had it on my shelf for ages so decided to give it a go.
I have platinumed Ghost of Yotei with every activity done. Now, I'm going to binge a few short games from a couple of generations ago, starting with Dark Void.
My Blood of Mehran review is here. It's a throwback to action games from a couple of generations back, but an average experience.

Here's my Nicktoons and The Dice of Destiny review. It has some entertaining parts to it, but there are technical issues.

"Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny does have entertainment value to it, especially for a younger audience, but those looking for a nostalgic trip revisiting Nickelodeon characters might be a bit disappointed." Read @aransuddi.bsky.social's review now.

Following today's news, I guess this will be the last EA game I'll be reviewing.

Anyway, here's my FC 26 review.
My view is that this government knows exactly what it is doing and believes in some of Reform's messaging. I bet there is no single advisor to the PM or Home Secretary from a minority background to give context to what the flag represents to some of us.

When will companies and governments learn that when you pander to and court bigots, life just becomes worse for everyone?
Nothing sums up the UK like landing at the airport to find the DLR is closed so no connection to the train station I would need to get to, from where I would need to get a rail replacement bus. £40 spent on an Uber instead.
Here's my review for Fresh Tracks, a fun entry to the rhythm genre with a very good original soundtrack. The story and delivery is great, and tracks like The Inspiration and Ekkos really stand out.

#gaming #videogames
"Fresh Tracks gives a fresh take on the rhythm genre and I really the story set up and some of the songs, which are legit great pieces of music that could be released as singles." @aransuddi.bsky.social takes to the skis to review Fresh Tracks.

Books are my other passion aside from games, so Tiny Bookshop is near enough a perfect game for me. Check out my review.
"Tiny Bookshop is one of the best management games of the year, because there is no stress when it comes to running the store." That's what resident book lover @aransuddi.bsky.social says about Tiny Bookshop.

Here's my review of The Dark Queen of Mortholme. It's only 20 minutes long but it is one of the best interactive experiences I've played in a while.

A Dream About Parking Lots lasts around 30 minutes, but packs in a pretty good therapy session. Check out my review.
I experienced Dear Me, I Was, the Arc System Works Switch 2 exclusive title. It has some great art and piano music, but this is much more a story with minimal interactivity rather than a game.

My review for Birdigo is up, and it is a fun word puzzle game. But progression is really hampered and it can be frustrating.

#gaming #videogames
@aransuddi.bsky.social has reviewed Birdigo, billed a mix of Balatro and Word Reveal. "Birdigo has the right foundations in place and there is a great hook to it, but it needs a couple of improvements to make people stick around."

Birdigo Review | TheSixthAxis
A quirky blend of Balatro, Scrabble and Wordle, Birdigo just needs a little balancing to be an essential word puzzler.

My latest review is of @monstertheater.bsky.social's Atomic Owl and I enjoyed it. It's a fun roguelike that you can get through in a few hours.

#gaming #videogames
"Atomic Owl is a satisfying roguelike with a simple progression that allows you to make headway quickly through the levels." @aransuddi.bsky.social has been slicing and dicing in Atomic Owl and recommends it.
