Bo Bichette has signed…with the Mets.

The Phillies met his asking price. They offered him a 7-year deal, according to reports.

He chose New York.

What felt like a dream earlier in the offseason is starting to gain some serious steam.

The Phillies are meeting with Bo Bichette. It’s an absolute no brainer to go all-in at this point for the 27-year-old infielder.

Some thoughts:

Just because a player makes the same amount of money or struggles in a prior season, doesn't mean he's automatically "Whit Merrifield or Max Kepler 2.0"

In fact, Adolis Garcia is actually what the Phillies need. Somebody who isn't afraid of the moment.

Adolis Garcia is Who and What the Phillies Needed
The Phillies made their first big external free-agent splash on Monday morning, agreeing to a 1-year, $10M contract with RF Adolis Garcia.

Bryce Harper wasn’t good enough in the NLDS, and he’d be the first person to tell you that.

They shouldn’t trade him. He’s not a “playoff choker.” He’s the face of the franchise that saved Phillies baseball.

My thoughts on some recent comments:

The Bryce Harper Overreactions are Really Bad
The Phillies were eliminated from the postseason and fell short of their ultimate goal again, but we're starting to lose the plot.

What number do you start to hesitate on a 33-year-old DH? How much money can you offer a spark outfielder that has a career .714 OPS?

The Phillies have a lot of decisions to make. A full offseason roundup of free agents, arb-eligible players, and more.

Jesus Luzardo would have a 3.03 ERA with 210 strikeouts if you take away the Brewers and Blue Jays starts early in the summer.

His biggest development this year? Self-confidence. The past is behind him. All that matters now is October baseball.

One day, you're sitting on your couch watching the sport you played for 20+ years. Three months later, you're ripping a beer bong at 40 years old after closing out a thriller to win the NL East.

1,174 strikeouts later, David Robertson is still doing it.

The Phillies needed it. The city of Philadelphia needed it. But most importantly, Aaron Nola needed it.

In a postseason atmosphere, the veteran delivered one of his best outings of the season. It's a huge step in the right direction for the Phillies.

Nobody Needed a Big Performance More Than Aaron Nola

Maybe David Robertson was asking for too much money this past offseason, but maybe a team should've given him that money.
