For #Adoorable Thursday this is
looking out from #stmagnuscathedral in #orkney founded 1137 - a #viking #cathedral !! Read all about it here www.orkneymuseums.co.uk/our-museums/...
and you also! ❤️
For #TombTuesday I give you the #DwarfieStane a #neolithic rock cut tomb on the island of #Hoy in #Orkney see here for more info www.nessofbrodgar.co.uk/dwarfie-stane/
Very sad & concerned to see this. In my 6yrs at #SkaraBrae #Orkney I had many experiences of customers using the #VisitScotland iCentre as a gateway to the islands. Visitor numbers have increased dramatically & tourist season is longer but the infrastructure to manage that isn't being matched.
Flash back to my previous #Orkney life for #StandingStoneSunday ... This is #RingofBrodgar in sunnier times with the heather blooming. Hope you've all 'weathered' Storm Bert ok up there ❤️

Very grateful to Stirling University for hosting our annual Induction and Development event, and to Heather Price for organising a great line-up! A fabulous setting, in no way hindered by the fine (albeit chilly) weather.
Thanks to @iapetusdtp.bsky.social for the best start to my #PhD! #induction was exciting, affirming and fun 😁 ...met SO many awesome people & #universityofstirling #campus was such a beautiful inspirational place to begin that journey #airthreyloch #stirling
