remember when someone pointed out that alkaloid are all from marginalized backgrounds except that for one of them the marginalization came from being wasian. and this was very seriously intended by the writing team to carry the same weight. ijbol

@hanamukes well im sure imas never had to scrub off the palpable ainu-ness off two ainu characters to make them only just vaguely indigenous non-yamato because they realized making them a compulsive crass gambler and uncivilized idiot savant respectively is like. not a good look

this isnt even from a hater angle (I Wish I Can Dislike Enstars Entirely With No Caveats) just seeing the culture of these spaces change in real time while enstars never really managed to move from its position in the late 2010s is fascinating

i frankly don't think enstars deserves it's "but wait! the story goes DARK!! not like your typical anisong gacha!" reputation anymore cuz like. well that's just the norm now
