I'm trying to reduce my carbon footprint. I'm not going to return a perfectly functional charger (which will surely end up in a landfill) and pay to have a new one shipped across the world, because a local bureaucrat was having off vibes. It was the cliché of a capitalist neoliberalism 'solution'.

On this very app, I threw a bit of a tantrum decrying my local government's captious yet still incorrect reasoning for denying me an EV charging tax credit. From the abyss a stranger snarkily suggested that I simply return my EV charger and buy a more compliant one.
