Not usually one for the meaningful posts but this Christmas is going to hit differently. My eldest just spent 5 days in hospital after getting a rapidly advancing necrotising infection in her leg. She's got a gnarly hole in her leg but that's all thankfully. A day's delay and she probably loses it

The Matildas are a great side with heaps of ability and athleticism. But until they are willing to adopt some of the 'dark arts', I fear they will struggle to beat the very best teams.

I turn 40 tomorrow, but honestly couldn't give less of a shit. 30s were fucking hard but in the end I'm fitter than I've been since my early 20s, got an amazing job and my family is awesome. So if that's 40, then bring that shit on.
