One of the many lovely things about Bad Bunny's show was him uplifting us all and giving us a better vision of ourselves. Never once did he have to remind us of MAGA or even mention them. There is no point. It is time for our political leaders to show us what we ought to be, not what we are. Be FDR.

Maybe this take reads too much into the Bad Bunny show. But it strikes me as a clear message to the Democrats — he succeeded by focusing on who he is: his home, his culture, his people, his energy, his inclusivity (and yes, all his girlfriends). Not a whisper about ... you know, the orange madman.

The Salmon Cannon and the Levitating Frog by Carly Ann York was next up in my reading pile. A fun pop-science book that has a serious message about the importance of funding pure science in all of its outward seeming wackiness. Also, most politicians are morons. Recommended.

Could someone explain to me the shocking part of the Epstein file release? That President Grab 'Em By the Pussy was an active participant? Was that not clear years ago? I'm not diminishing his culpability. But that's what they elected. They don't care he's a liar, bully, fraud and traitor.

I honestly don't know how I feel about Maurice Ruffin's *The American Daughters*. As historical fiction the first half of the book excels as an honest portrayal of the abject cruelty of American slavery. 1/2
