On this day in 2009, Windows 7 was released.
extremely reasonable. we'll be making fun of Drake in exchange though
Kendrick Lamar has to drop one more time because there's no way Toronto is allowed to win against LA

Daily bunny no.3112 has friends in high places
"The majority of the No Kings protests have dispersed at this time and all traffic closures have been lifted.

"We had more than 100,000 people across all five boroughs peacefully exercising their first amendment rights and the NYPD made zero protest-related arrests."

Someone in the crowd: β€œGo Cubs!”

Pope Leo XIV: β€œHan perdido! They lost!”
some states have renamed it to "Indigenous People's Day" as if that solves much of anything. good start, but it's maybe about as patronising as "Thanksgiving"
CO: damn man that sucks. i hope you get it better next year. baseball with 20% less air does sound awesome. mostly i want to show my appreciation for the Spokane Indians / Sp'q'n'iΚ” suΟ‡Κ·cβ€Œβ€ŒΙ¬sepˈcinˈm – massive respect to them for getting representation right. #Rockies (20/20)
CLE: two very different entities, @akascarletvt.bsky.social and @neorsd.org, have given me a net positive outlook on the new team. i used to own a parody Cleveland Caucasians shirt back in 2016. who knew that MLB getting in bed with sports betting might lead people to bet on sports? #Guardsball
CWS: the only baseball team known to have the blessing of the Papacy. Comiskey's parking lot and highway environment looks rather unpleasant, not unlike ANA – but hey, did you say you were moving to the South Loop? let's bring that 2005 magic back sometime. #ChangeTheGame
CHC: passed right next to a hot game day on the Red line. as someone who debates moving to Chicago, i think i'd appreciate Wrigley's tight-knit vibe over Comiskey, even with my tilt towards the South Side. but i have to ask – *is* there a diversity problem here? players, fans, both? #BeHereForIt
TOR: my personal complicated relationship with the Six aside, huge respect for being Canada's team. i just think it shouldn't be all your responsibility to bear (MontrΓ©al? Vancouver?) i won't actually be mad if you win it all this year; as Americans, we probably deserve it. #LightsUpLetsGo
SEA: classic underdogs, badly due a win. would want nothing more than to see a SEA–MKE World Series this month. i keep accidentally calling Cal Raleigh "Cal Anderson". unfortunately, i have to feel sympathy for Modesto losing their Nuts this year. #TridentsUp
ATL: Freddie Freeman's home team, so i at least gotta respect them. theoretically a NYM rival, though neither of us seem to care too much. i don't think that their team name is all too racist, even if some of their fans may be. rest in peace, Levi Walker Jr. #BravesCountry
PGH: oddly, the Pirates' Willie Stargell finds himself a hometown hero here in Alameda. the park has absolutely immaculate vibes, even better than San Francisco; i'd love to visit someday. Andrew McCutchen seems like a cool guy. i stand in Sell the Team solidarity. #LetsGoBucs
ANA: i regret to say that i feel very little about this franchise. thank you for raising Ōtani Shōhei in his first six MLB years. i think you should brand yourself as Anaheim again – that's how you won your World Series. points over LA for being right by the ARTIC? #RepTheHalo
i feel some solidarity with TB is due, even if the circumstances differ. screw John Fisher. at least the San Francisco Unicorns home games are epic. i've been inside Banner Island Ballpark, but not for a Stockton Ports game; i should catch one someday. #RootedInOakland
OAK: still love when you see success; everything with me is blessed. i'm sorry i didn't get to appreciate you that much when you were here. Nick Kurtz is a total rockstar; i appreciate Brent Rooker and Shae Langeliers too. i think Jenny Cavnar gets too much hate for just doing her job. (OAK 1/2)
NYY: you gotta respect them for what they are, but you can't just love them. Judge hit a homer right over my head in my first ever live game, @ OAK. this franchise now seems to slam its penis in the car door repeatedly. in the immortal words of David Ortiz, "DAAAA YANKEES LOSE". #PinstripePride
NYM: my girlfriend's team, to whom i've grown sympathetic. what lovable losers. i appreciate them for being SF and LA's little kid. they deserve better than they get; the 2025 blowup was heartbreaking. not sure what they need all that parking for. i suppose i must try the <7> sometime. #LGM
Dodger Stadium, as with many SoCal venues, is severely lacking quality transit access; it may as well be on a different planet from DTLA. at least you can walk to SF. add transit, pedestrian infrastructure, and a neighbouhood, and you'll really have a Blue Heaven on Earth. #LetsGoDodgers
i think the LA–SF rivalry is a little bit overblown. i believe in a united California, and i'm proud of their 2024 WS win. i just wish their stadium were anything special – ChΓ‘vez Ravine and Elysian Fields deserve reparations, if not towers on every square inch of Dodgers car park. (LA 2/3)
