My general(ish) thought would be that looking in a direction with your left hand open (paired WITH an XR Wristband) would activate your “gaze” & closing your hand while gazed would confirm the selection. A combination of different gazes & hand gestures in concert with each other is what I’m thinking

There’s almost nothing but low hanging fruit available in the XR industry, both for hardware and software development. Novel uses are regularly being developed on existing architectures, and new hardware is being added each generation

For the moment, the sky is the limit

Plus the simple fact that Apple *needs* something new to sell. Smartphones and Smartwatches are about as good as they are *PRACTICALLY* going to get.

I so hope the next gen Quest has XR Wristbands that pull double duty IRL Smartwatches/fitness trackers that can fully replace my Apple Watch, and seamless works between my Quest 4 and the next gen Meta Ray Ban Smartglasses

I’m a believer that the bad, even the worst, needs to be remembered even more than the good. It’s abundantly clear that too many people DON’T know what Hitler, the Nazis & fascism in general sounded like in the 1930s

Hearing “it” side-by-side with today’s rhetoric in full VR would be telling IMO

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say again

@walkaboutminigolf.bsky.social is so good, that it’s worth getting into XR just so you can play Walkabout Mini Golf, even if you never do anything else with XR

If that comes across as “butt kissing” on my part, so be it. It’s still true

NGL, unless Meta opens up full iPhone app support including messaging, I want a native Apple Version of these, not a Meta version

That said, I want those XR Wristbands ASAP to work with the Quest headsets. Imagine using hand gestures w/ haptics for magic, but XR Controllers for weapons & shields
