As I wrote last week: "As other information sources fall, Wikipedia’s stubborn independence becomes more vital than ever. The attacks from [the right] aren't just about an online encyclopedia — they're part of a broader assault on any information source that refuses to be controlled."
Scoop: I obtained a confidential presentation outlining how a major conservative think tanks plans to go after volunteer editors on Wikipedia who it says are "abusing their position" and promoting antisemitism

Great series.
I've read a decent number of books again this year, but the big project (which I'm counting as 5) is the 3,700 pages of Richard Taruskin's Oxford History of Western Music. I'd been meaning to read it since it came out (20 years ago) and glad I finally did. It's an extraordinary piece of writing

Things I did in 2024:
1. Won a defamation case as a defendant.

2. Called the pick of Tim Walz as VP nominee a few days before everyone else.

3. Continued reporting out the Buma saga through to the end.

4. Showed how JD Vance is knowingly ignoring the Russian-Israeli nexus.
