The tenday's recipe is part one of the Singing Sprite Flatbreads from the town of Secomber. Whole wheat bread with vegetables and tomato sauce, topped with a chopped greens salad dressed in a yolk-herb sauce. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms recipe here forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/User:Ar...
What I learned today is that carb day or rest yesterday boosted my editable and energy today. Also, my ass is too bouncy now and send my phone flying out of my pocket when I run
And I’m back from my evening run and have a hot dinner of heavily spiced Tabaxi Squash Stew from Chult. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Taking out a full cup of veggies and liquid, blending them into a thickener, returning to the stew and it’s pretty much done, after seasoning check. But I want to let it reduce just a bit-I used extra water to get all the veg out of the blender. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Once the water is reduced, add g stock - veg or chicken, and roasted squash. Cover, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 mins or so. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Next, salt and water and the base is done. Bringing it to a boil and simmer for a few minutes before adding in stock and squash. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Next adding spices and toasting them with onion and spices butter for a few minutes. Then adding in shredded zucchini which will be our thickener. Cover and cook to soften it all. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Shredding red onion and cooking it in a dry pot. We want to dry and color it, and build up some fond. Then adding spices butter and ginger and garlic and cooking covered on low. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
My oven is super uneven but pre-cooking via roasting is done. Next step-stew base. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
This week we return to Chult for some Tabaxi stews. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Tonight’s #HorrorMovie is another blind watch. Looks like an indie low budget fare. #Lair and possibly psychological?
Better than I thought it would end up being
Not sure if I like the shape, but the result was delicious. Soft fluffy dough and spiced almost sweet fish filling. Very appropriate for what’s typically served in Waterdhavian coffee shops in the 14th and 15th centuries dr. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Once the filling is done, we roll the dough thinly and fold it into a bun shape #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Adding in white fish and turkey stock. Cover and simmer until the fish is tender. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Slowly sweat shredded carrots and onions, then add some heat and toast garlic and spices with the veggies #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
The dough ended up being very tender and glutinous and stretchy. Yeast is still kicking too! Now to assemble veggies, fish, and spices #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
Planning of simmering white fish in turkey stock with onions and carrots, herbs, and spices. Probably curry? We’ll see.
It’s actually going to be fish buns if all things. I’ll be making filling tomorrow morning.
We will start prepping the dough for this week’s #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms. Butter and egg, sort of unsweetened brioche. I will let it rise and then chill overnight and rise again tomorrow. This recipe is from Waterdeep’s coffee shops btw
Happy October, everyone!
Bourbon mule. Happy 40th.
Can also do a healthier version with cottage cheese instead of cream but would need more seasonings and spices.
The tenday continues tavern grub series with cheese-stuffed peppers from Candlekeep (or Wisteria Vale). Broiled goodness of cheeses, herbs, spices, shallots, bacon, and peppers. Breadcrumb crust is optional. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms Recipe here: forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/User:Ar...
And the test run for Waterdeep tavern/coffeeshop smallbites done. Maztican corn fritters, northerner style, topped with turkey, jalapeños, cilantro, and spices and seasonings. Fried up and ready to be munched on with some ale. #Cooking in the #ForgottenRealms
