In the meantime I have been playing the heck out of Digimon Story Time Stranger and I'm very much enjoying it. I'm actually glad that I'm getting to take my time with the game! I originally planned on playing it as fast as possible so I could play ZA on launch but that obviously didn't happen.
Well crafted Johto games or Black and White remakes might be enough to drag me back in, maybe even convince me to buy a Switch 2 eventually, but they have *got* to be HGSS levels of remakes and not like BDSP was. And NO DLC. NONE.
There are also ten gazillion fanmade games and romhacks out there, and they do really cool and unique things with the franchise that Gamefreak and Nintendo would never do. I'm not done with Pokémon by any means, but I am done giving them my money, I think.
Am I done with the franchise? Heavens no. Even if I never pick up another new Pokémon game again, there are still all the old ones that are infinitely replayable, and they can't take them away from me because I physically own them.
The really sad thing is I would have HAPPILY paid for more Legends Arceus content! I wanted more story with those characters and in that setting! I was BEGGING for more Legends Arceus!
SWSH's DLC felt very much like they didn't know how SWSH was going to do, so they had ideas for more content but waited to develop it first. Understandable. Same thing with SV's DLC. The FREE DLC update for Legends Arceus definitely felt like it. Not this. This feels like "what can we hold back"
If they'd waited until AFTER the game was out to announce the DLC I don't think it would have rubbed me the wrong way like it did. Announcing DLC before the game was even out said to me that they had intentionally carved out pieces of the game to sell to us, rather than shipping a finished game
I've got a launch model Switch and I have zero interest in paying $70 to barely play ZA on it. However, the real straw that broke this camel's back was the DLC announcement. I'm not opposed to DLC in a Pokémon game, I happily paid for SWSH and SV's dlc.
I don't think I ever posted on here about it, just on Tumblr and Facebook. I'm not playing Legends Z-A. Absolutely no shade to anyone that is. I don't have a Switch 2, don't have the means to get one, and have no interest in owning one. I've heard that ZA plays like hot garbage on Switch 1.
New bad guy boss with gold eyes is kinda hot…
Mega Dragonite… looks so goofy omg
ZA time, no Johto or BW remakes I guess
Shiny treasures of run are cool I guess, but not cool enough for me to reactivate my Nintendo switch online account
It’s almost like they built scarlet and violet for switch 2 but had to put it on switch 1
Oh boy, cards I won’t be able to buy because of scalpers
Pokémon presents time, nothing exciting yet as usual

I'm at booth 222 at Southeast Game Exchange, right across from the autographs!
Offspring: Staring at the Sun, Why don't you get a Job, Can't Get My Head Around You, and of course, Pretty Fly for a White Guy
Jimmy Eat World: I hope to hear Bleed American, Pain, Work, Futures, and I think if they play 23 I will die. And The Middle, of course
Concert tonight! New Found Glory (with the drummer from Motion City Soundtrack, WHAT); followed by Honey Eat World and The Offspring!!
But first I really need to get my room in shape. 70% of it is still in boxes from the move. That's the main reason I didn't have a webcam for today's stream.
Fortunately I still have my old Win10 laptop, so that'll have to do if I ever want to stream any of my non-steam games. I really hope I can get it functioning, I want to play Monster Rancher on stream SO bad. I have a massive CD collection now.
