every time I see smth SD-related go viral I feel instinctual dread bc there's always a very high chance it's smth completely mischaracterized or just downright wrong. you're right, interest is great but it does more harm than good without respect

getting crossover content with smth like fortnite is good for reviving interest in old IPs, but i think the drawback is fans would have to face another decade's worth of mischaracterizations and misinfo from tourists. it's not that deep, but it does get annoying sometimes, i won't lie ;w;
