I've always held a long standing beef with Australian Universities and games design degrees. Every major uni flaunts them so hard despite the 'local industry' being made up of ad hoc indies of unsustainable scale
At SAGE this morning, Big Ant Studios COO Mark Bracken suggests you can go and get a games degree and walk into a video game job.
"Now is the easiest time to get into the industry" he says.

God I'm so glad I was able to pay off my Student Loans. Australia isn't perfect by any means but the fact that that wasn't Impossible is a blessing I'm grateful for every day
