The new voice acting in FFT: The Ivalice Chronicles is really fantastic and adds so much to an already great story, but replacing the original death yells in battle is just criminal. Like, I get it, it’s all or nothing, but it’s just not quite the same without them 😩

I just remembered today marks five years since the release of Super Mario Bros. 35. Mario’s 40th anniversary cannot be considered legally valid and complete until Nintendo rights their grave wrong and gives us Super Mario Bros. 40 with no expiration date

That was a pretty rough #StateOfPlay but hey, at least we got to see Mega Man (and Rush, and Proto Man, and a MM2 Wily Castle track!) in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and some Wolverine gameplay so I’ll take what I can get

Had a real fucking experience with my mom’s life tonight and had to confront just how raw life and its gifts can be. I’m not religious, but I don’t think you need to be to be confronted with your loved ones’ mortality

Oh yeah, I would definitely place Bananza above Odyssey, no question! But Odyssey was never my favorite 3D Mario to begin with (that’d be Galaxy 1), so it’s easier for me to make that choice.

What I can say for sure is that both finales are going to stay with me for a long time for different reasons. In a vacuum I think I’d give it to E33’s, but in the context of what happens in Bananza’s as a fan who’s been there for every mainline DK game, it’s probably a tie?

That’s honestly a really, really tough question! I know there are mixed opinions about E33’s final act and ending, but I for one thought E33’s finale was fantastic. But Bananza’s finale is one of Nintendo’s all-time best, especially with the context of being a long-time DK/DKC fan…

DK Bananza = 100%’d! Definitely a solid #2 right now for my games of the year, behind Expedition 33. Just an absolute delight of a game and there’s so much fan service for long-time DK fans, I can’t even 🔥
