Two people are eating at a food stall.

▼Story

『In the corner of the food stall』

When they settled onto the sun-worn wooden chairs, the scent of spices rising from the food before them tickled their noses.
On the plate lay a rough heap of skin-on potatoes, a stew of gamey meat, and a skewer of bright red roast.

Nazarc picked up the skewer with an awkward grip, studying it for a moment before finally sinking his teeth into the meat.
But he froze almost instantly, his brow faintly furrowing.
Perhaps the meat was tougher than expected, or perhaps he simply wasn’t sure how to eat it—he shifted the skewer in his hand, teeth still pressing into the flesh.

“Too tough for you?”

Crusheed slid some potato into flatbread and glanced sideways as he asked.
There was no reply. But then again, these wordless pauses were nothing unusual between them.

“Just pull it straight off the stick.”

Nazarc thought for a beat, then gave a low hum from his throat.
With a firm tug he tore the meat free and chewed with a dead-serious expression.
Watching him, Crusheed bit into his own bread, only to be struck by a sharp, stinging heat that made him wince.

“…Spicier than I thought.”

Beside him came another small sound in the throat—an echo, almost as if in agreement.
