I did my best to compile as many protest safety notes as possible into a one page foldout zine! Coincidentally…it seems the file has breached containment…like it’s available for anyone to print or hand out 👀⚖️

I’m finally getting my multi-week handbuilding class! I know my audience here isn’t as local to Toronto as my IG following is, but if you could boost/share I would be so grateful! I really want to teach this class!!

We’ll be spending more time refining and decorating than in a one off workshop.

No matter your reasons, you are welcome to join me in the amazing world of vermicomposting! Experience the magic of seeing our little wormy friends turn our garbage into amazingly nutritious compost!

What is Vermicomposting?
Vermicomposting is a composting method that uses worms to turn organic waste into nutrient-rich worm castings. It's a great way to lower individual waste output and is ideal for those who live in apartments and lack outdoor access. (Illustration of food scraps being turned into compost.) It can be done with several different earthworm species, but Red Wigglers are the most commonly used. These worms can be purchased online through composting supply stores or bought in-person at fishing bait stores. You can also get a handful of worms from a friend! (You will have to wait for the colony to grow large enough to handle household waste, though). (Illustration of a worm on a fish hook saying, "Wait... Did you say... BAIT??"

Pros & Cons: As with everything, worms have their strengths and weaknesses! Pros: can be done indoors in a container, very cheap, easily scalable with more bins and worms, if you enjoy worms, they double as pets! Cons: limited by how much the worms can eat (overfeeding can cause problems), certain foods are unsuitable (more details later), can attract pests. It has somehow reached a point where there are oddly more benefits being indie than if I were to do studio work.
The biggest being I own and decide what I do with my work.
For decades animation workers have given IP for a flat paycheck
