I'm genuinely surprised that no one has tried to bring back poorhouses, old fashioned asylums, and debtors' prisons.
I mean, MAGA's already rounding up 'undesirables' to get them out of public view. The poor, disturbed, and 'immoral' would be the next obvious groups to target.
