Then. When given the chance to talk about her own experiences and let others understand her life. She instead declines and flounces off to bed in a huff.
So that's a lot of people saying that Caroline should be given some slack because she's "just asking questions" and wants to learn. But when she refuses to accept that someone of colour will have had a different experience in life to someone white, she's demonstrating that she can't learn. #bbuk

Well, no. Because there is more than one kiosk.
So if you remember the first iPhone that did faceID, using an infrared camera so it would work it in the dark. Well that was considered secure enough by banks, that they were happy enough to allow you to log in to your banking app with your face. That phone did not have fingerprint scanning
Biometrics is basically any measurement or characteristic of a person that uniquely identifies that person. Which includes facial, iris, fingerprints, voice and more.
Did a quick Google.
Yes it is considered biometric.
UK passports contain a digitised version of your face. They are called biometric passports (identified by the gold chip icon on the front cover)

I wondered about this, does the UK system really not have biometric? I returned home at the end of September - my first ever time leaving the country on a plane. At Edinburgh I had to put my passport on a machine and then it took my photo and the gate opened. Isn't that biometric?
I'd get AI to transcribe it, but there's a good chance that AI will go - nope, I can't talk about that.
Sorry what?
Her mum still has to cut her food for her?

What are you doing Marcus?!

Loving how Julia the CEO of travel agencies - suggests that the best way to cope with this, is to book your travel via a travel agency.

Immediately makes me suspicious of everything else she says.
Presumably - the intention is still for this to be temporary for the UK?

As part of the "EU Reset" we are supposed to gain access to e-Gates when the EES has fully rolled out?

Do you know the reason Cyprus is not in the Shengen? I admit I know nothing about Cyprus. And like most people in Britain, not a huge amount about Ireland.
Yes, you are correct, my apologies. I thought you have responded to the question I had asked earlier. It was my understanding though that Ireland was only allowed to opt out of Shengen WHILE it maintains a CTA with the UK.
They don't like to talk about that.
From memory, and I'll admit School was quite some time ago now, but from memory - the horrors of the Empire, are rather um glossed over in British Schools.
Thank you for responding with factual information.
That's all I was trying to find out.
UK Media has been a bit..... well useless and scaremongery about the entire thing.

And as for the people on X and UK Media sites... well.... according to them, this is punishment, and they won't go to the EU.
I think you will find - that I actually asked a question. Because I wanted to know the answer. 🙄
I'd never thought about it out of context.
Now I am getting Doctor Who flashbacks!
If/When Ireland is a reunited country though - it would definitely have to participate
Ireland is a special case though - the reason it doesn't apply to you is BECAUSE of the UK. Because of the Good Friday agreement about borders.
Like every supermarket!
Ah yes I am just about to be reach the till, NOW is the time I will look for the app on my phone to find the loyalty thing to scan.
It's a bit unclear whether we would have still been subject to these checks if we were still in the EU though. It's to protect the Schengen borders, but we were never part of the Schengen area. So presumably we would have been an EU citizen but still treated as a Third country for the EES?
It applies to ALL "third country" people, which is not just the UK, so it's not specifically a Brexit thing, though if we hadn't had Brexit - we would obviously not be affected by it, though we would also have had to implement to kiosks at all of borders too.
It's worth noting the second E in the acronym. Entry/Exit - you need to provide your biometrics when you exit the Schengen area, not just when you enter. So there obviously needs to be kiosks on the France side too.
