Today is POW/MIA Recognition Day - a day of observance in the U.S. that honors and remembers the sacrifices of prisoners of war (POWs) and those who are still missing in action (MIA) annually observed on the third Friday of September. It is also a recommitment to bring these soldiers home. #POWMIA

Made the trip down from the Capitol to honor San Mateo's own Sue Lempert. Sue is retiring after 20 years of publishing her weekly column for the Daily Journal. But we all know Sue's long list of contributions. It is no surprise that many turned out to honor this pillar of our community.
