I'd thought ego-death would give me better control of my AuDHD brain.

Instead, meltdowns feel like an out of body experience and I've been locked out of the control room.
The door unlocks when someone calls it out and it wants to fade away... which is too late for intervention for me. 🫠 (+)

I also hope that this helps put AuDHD, etc. into perspective: that our neurobiological structures are not definitive of personality. Many things can affect how we interact with the world.

We are more than our impulses and functions. How we decide to continue defines who we are.

Moving forward, I want to break down the control room door. Instead of waiting to be called out, I'd rather be the one to go back and say, "Hey, what I'd said wasn't cool, and I'm sorry. Please disregard it, and I'll get back to you once I've calmed down." (+)

The nice thing post-ego death is my ability to NOTICE sooner. (Used to give into it)

It ways goes like this:
throws tantrum over not getting what it wants > says irrational and selfish things > gets called out and wants to d*e > I take back control and apologize for its behaviour and panic 😑 (+)

I'd thought reawakening would make me appreciate my body more... But, I think it's making me resent it, instead.
Spasming and freezing over a conversation, melting down from smth IT never communicated, running from responsibility, etc..

The part that wrecks me the most is that I HAVE to take responsibility for its actions as my own: because this existence is based on MY active choices. The one LIVING it is me.

To keep myself sane, I could say "I'm sorry for having lost control", but is that still fair to say, for myself? (+)
