Wordpress has a coming soon page up, Pamela is getting food and, ah, coffee 5. Stay tuned. The issue seems to be the database. It is running a study 43.8% of memory and we do not know why.

At that point, she made coffee 4, tried again, & got a working server up & running... until she started importing the database. It then fell over. She is now trying to figure out where it was when it fell over. But hey - there is a page up.

We are all hoping coffee 5 can be avoided.

Pamela ( @starstryder.space ) has spent the entire day rebuilding. The first backup (an image of the VM) was kaput. Pamela tried spinning up VMs 3 times before giving up. She also had a DB backup, and backup of wp-content. On VM 4 she tried to use those... filled the drive (5 & 50 are not the same)

Info on our server woes. We were dying beneath bots & scrapers, so we turned on free Cloudflare. That helped, but we were still getting hammered by ... China. In the mix of regular reboots, our database decided it was just done (same, really), & wouldn't come back after a force stop.

Our server has decided it can't even, by which we mean, we can ssh in, but nothing can get out (except the files we just sftp'd. Rebuilding is about to occur.

The server is dead. Long live the server (with a bit of delay).
