Planetary #Astrophotography requires patience and thousands of frames to achieve sharp, detailed results. A fast USB camera and some good software is required. Check out my software list at http://astropotamus.com/software

SSTV Series 29 from the ISS was a busy one! More than 3,200 people submitting a total of 8,000+ decodes.

While transmissions have ended for World Space Week, there is still time to submit those decodes for a certificate. Link & details in the graphic.

Too tired for dealing with it tonight and need to get up early for work. Plus it's cold for the first time. Will try tomorrow night without filter.

Location was slot on. I realized as I was setting up tonight that I had my narrowband filter still in place. So I think I filtered out the comet. 😆

Did you know that spacesuit helmets have a Velcro patch, to help astronauts itch? That's its one and only purpose.

It amazes me how prolific you are.

That's actually a star in Ursa Major. The comet should be smack in the middle of the image. But I don't see a comet, and this is with the image pushed to the point of "ridiculous" in terms of brightness. 😆 I think I simply didn't have enough time imaging it for the ~20 minutes it was visible.

I was mad that my Slik U-102 tripod head broke. That's what you get for a $2 second-hand store purchase, I guess. I got 6-7 years out of it, so I'm happy. Replaced it with a $25 U212 from the same store. 😀

I tried, but with only 20 minutes or so before C2025/A6 (Lemmon) disappears behind the treeline, I couldn't get much. This is after a couple nights of rain, but at 5am, at least the Moon is gone. Can *YOU* see a comet in this picture? Image boosted to try to show detail ☄️🔭🦛 #Astrophotography

New #crowdfund for #embroidered #patches. These designs have lived as posters for years and were recently converted to enamel pins. Now they're making the leap to patches. Back the campaign and if we hit our goals, we'll add four more designs to the set. www.backerkit.com/c/projects/c...
