recently i've been writing descriptive passages and midway through being like "ooh it's a metaphor! i get it!" However being a yolo writer as I am, i think it's really better to write in blissful ignorance, discover the literary devices at the end, and then go back and clarify them in the edit... 😢

i have a fiction concept rattling in my head but i don't know what the structure? framework? of it is so i'm stuck! ideally i'd be able to just point at this ship and then point at the world's oldest extant novel The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu. And I would say "this is it. Do you see it?"

Tossed and turned in bed, suffering greatly until I finally got up and retrieved my phone so I could look up the name of the Matsuno sextuplet voiced by onod. 😩 (I knew the other 5! I knew his color and personality and that it was a somewhat different name than the rest! But couldn’t retrieve it…)
