Homeownership affordability remained largely unchanged from October to November. However affordability was up 2% YOY. Though mortgage rates have declined, the steady rise in home prices continues to suppress affordability.

The Atlanta Fed’s Wage Growth Tracker declined to 3.7% in December from 4.0% in November. For people who changed jobs, the Tracker declined to 4.0% in December. For those not changing jobs, the Tracker declined from 3.7% in November to 3.5% in December. atlfed.org/49ql24Z

The Atlanta Fed's sticky-price consumer price index (CPI)—a weighted basket of items that change price relatively slowly—rose 3.6% (on an annualized basis) in December, following a 1.1% increase in November. On a year-over-year basis, the series is up 3.1%.
