Whoa

If you're a very specific kind of nerd, the Logue SDK part is huge

The looper is expanded with slicing and export. OSC3 performs new tricks (like modulation).

But most importantly, the microKORG2 now runs logue SDK -- right out of the gate with a bunch of @sinevibes.bsky.social goodness. It sounds like the secret sauce the microKORG sequel needed:
Two by two: microKORG2 2.0 splits, slices, rewards - and does Sinevibes - CDM Create Digital Music
The microKORG2 had the immediacy and cute factor of the microKORG, but even at its still-economical price, we needed more. And wow, did we get it. The logue SDK means this is an adorable synth that ca...

A graphic showing that I am "taking about the same number of steps a day as last year"

Both this year and last year show 7676 steps

He told me they explained that it was "like a play" and that the teacher was just pretending

Which probably helps a little

But I think if I was literally getting yelled at all day by an actor for being myself I'd get pretty annoyed pretty fast

I remember when I did this field trip in grade school I kept getting yelled at for not keeping up with the writing

I broke my arm a few times when I was younger, so writing was never my strong suit

Combine that with something probably bordering on ADHD and maybe something border on autism myself

He said two other kids had panic attacks ("one of them just cried")

Seriously I think we can find some ways to educate kids about the past without making them cry

My son is autistic

He fidgets

So ... like ... what?

I'm not sure that doing a re-enactment of being in a one-room school house is really appropriate in this day and age if it's going to involve things like this

My son did the obligatory field trip to a one-room school house

I remembered my experience being kind of shitty and demoralizing so I talked to him about it a bit beforehand

He came back and said it was kind of stressful because he kept getting yelled at for not having his feet flat on the floor

Part of the reason I'm not totally dooming over AI video generation is that there are already so many ways that we are lied to with "real" photos (like this 1990s LA standing in for 2020s Portland)

Just a note that there will be a call for submissions for readers to submit photos of themselves in front of lighthouses for the Southern Reach coffee table book, but please don't be preemptive as the guidelines for what's needed will be precise. For example, poor Lowry here got it wrong. No masks.

This story is amazing and I hope it get national traction because it nicely encapsulates the level of pettiness and entitlement we're seeing

TL;DR Trump tried to take a sword from a presidential museum to give to a literal king, the museum director said "no" but found an alternative, and was fired

I ended up on a handful of lists for basically saying "people with cancer should be allowed to run for office" on a day when that was a very unpopular opinion

I don't take lists that seriously, folks will have a list and toss people on it when they're having a bad day
