I don't think people understand that if Sega was able to get Mario into Sonic Racing Crossworlds, they'd just have to make him an exclusive to the Switch and Switch 2.

It just reminds me of when Epic Games wanted Samus in Fortnite, and Nintendo said this:

Quote from Epic Games, stating that they wanted Samus from Metroid to appear in Fortnite, but Nintendo's response was that they wouldn't allow it unless the Samus skin was only visible to Switch players. Meaning people from other consoles wouldn't be able to see Samus.
