People online say that Steve still not being over Nancy is a step back for his character development. I don’t necessarily think so. It’s more sort of stagnation.
In S3 Steve was compulsively dating girl after girl. Before Nancy, I think, he was doing the same.

#ST5 vol.1 sure was great but now when I mostly recovered from the GREAT HYPE I mostly concerned about how could they wrap all the storylines properly after essentially half of the season is done.

My main Byler headcanon is that Mike is a king of ambiguous flirty non-platonic mixed signals towards Will. And that’s the exact reason why Will’s finding so hard to move on.

Back to BYLER and all. I actually was (am) super invented in this ship in terms of hyperfixationly consuming enormous amount of byler-related content and theories. But at the end of the day I will be happy (and I already am!) with any great story either byler there is romantic or platonic.
