> better left unsaid~ Perhaps you'll find out next time.❞

The corner of her lips turned upwards into a coy smile as she glanced up at Luocha. She suspected he would like the idea.

❝How did I know, hmm? I'm a mind-reader. It'll be my treat~❞
She was the former Head Representative of the Whistling Flames, after all. Not only did Fugue have a natural gift for connecting with others, but also understanding their hidden feelings.

If he ever needs a listening ear, she'll be there for him.

As expected from Tingyun, she's truly perceptive. But he wouldn't want to ruin the mood of the occasion.

"Then it's a good thing I accepted. Although now I'm curious about the methods you would have used." >
Despite his calm demeanour, the foxian could sense his inner turmoil. Although she didn't know the reason, she assumed it had something to do with his birthday.

❝You said that our relationship went a bit further than business, so of course I wouldn't miss your birthday. Had you refused, I would >

With a gentle tug, she pulled him to his feet before linking her arm through his.

❝How about a spa day, dearest benefactor?❞

Birthdays aren't exactly the best memory Luocha has. In the past they were filled with emptiness. Nothing was sincere.

But Tingyun made him snap from his thoughts.

"I'm surprised you knew of my birthday. I can't refuse if you ask if like that." >
Perching on the arm of the couch, Tingyun crossed her legs, one over the other. @foreigntrxder.bsky.social seemed preoccupied...

With a flick of her wrist, the Amicassador used her closed fan to lift his chin.

❝Mr Luocha, I believe it's your birthday today. Although my memories of our time >

Her eyes widened, startled by the unexpected voice on the other side of the door. Mr Sunday... Although their rooms were close to each other, she had hoped that he wouldn't come back and notice her.

❝I-I'm perfectly fine, Mr Sunday... Thank you... for your concern...❞

Despite her reassuring >
Sunday was passing by the corridor, heading to the main car. But his wings fluttered, sensing something. He clearly heard something coming from Tingyun's room.

Or at least... there was something off. Call it a sixth sense. >
Still in her temporary room on the Express, Tingyun put her hand on the door handle. All she had to do was pull, and she'd be on her way, but things don't always go as planned.

The Amicassador leaned against the door and clutched her hands to her chest, an excruciating pain overwhelming her. >
> She still couldn't get accustomed to her scars of 'Destruction.' Would there ever be a way to alleviate it? It didn't seem likely; when has there ever been a situation similar to hers?

Bedtime tail care is a must~
If anything, the foxian should be the one to apologise for the hostility. Moze hasn't done anything wrong, yet her tails considered him a threat.

❝You sound a bit unsure... Not only that, but you also keep glancing at my tails. Is something wrong with them?❞
Moze noticed, and blamed himself for it. Since it wasn't his intention to cause such reaction.

"Uh... No, I was just... passing by, yes."

Yet his eyes can't stop looking at her tails from time to time. They just look so fluffy and soft. It's a weakness.
As if on high alert, her tails fanned out behind her. It was something she couldn't control.

❝I appreciate the apology... Can I help you?❞
> ❝I'd be delighted if you did.❞
❝Don't be silly, Mr Sunday. It'd be incredibly impolite not to prepare anything.

It truly wasn't my intention with the gift, but I'd like to continue to have a fruitful relationship with you.❞

After hearing his response, a smile gracefully adorned her features. It seems like she chose wisely.

>
"It is indeed my birthday, but you didn't have to prepare anything for me.

I was glad of being able to help."

Sunday took the gift and opened it. He stared at it in awe, appreciating its content.

"This is so beautiful. I will give it a good use."
She's not the only one. They've both faced hardships. As of right now, the foxian is taking each day as it comes.

❝I heard it's your birthday today, so I've prepared a little gift~ I hope its to your liking.

I truly appreciate everything you did for me on Penacony, Mr Sunday.❞

> happy to lend an ear.❞
❝You're very kind, Mr Sunday. I understand there are some things you'd prefer to say yourself, though. I suppose they thought we'd get along well.

I'm truly sorry to hear that. No matter how far apart you are, their love for you will always remain. If you ever need someone to talk to, I would be >
There is nothing to forgive, Miss Tingyun, for you did nothing wrong. I don't mind if they told you about me, it's only natural.

But in that you are right. I cannot return to the place I once called my home... or see my loved ones again.
I hope you'll forgive me, but the Astral Express members told me a little about you.

Though we have different reasons, we can't return to once familiar places. We no longer have a home, or at least we can't visit it.
> Despite the overwhelming pain, she hesitantly raised her palm to the glass in response.
> up.'

It was easy for him to say... Tingyun felt as though a fire was consuming her from the inside, threatening to tear apart her very existence. How could she continue like this? She's like a blank slate.

... Yet she could see the concern in his expression, the flicker of worry in his eyes. >
All the former Amicassador could do was stare at Luocha. Bewilderment was reflected in her eyes, utterly confused by the situation.

The merchant's voice sounded muffled through the glass, so she tried to focus on the movement of his lips, hoping to piece together his words.

'Don't give >
Luocha had been told of Tingyun's progress—or lack of it. She didn't even remember her name, let alone anything else.

He approached the glass, resting a palm against it.

"Don't give up. Keep pushing forward. Keep living." >
The last thing she remembered was being lifted from the ground. Despite the situation, she felt safe.

A few weeks later, Tingyun finally opened her eyes. The brightness of the light hurt her, but it wasn't as painful as the destruction within her.

Who is she? Where is she from? The Amicassador >
> to his expectations.

❝Is that so? I'm sure my past self truly appreciated she had someone who cared for her.

My sudden disappearance must have worried you. While it wasn't intentional, I'd still like to apologise.❞

Tingyun turned around, allowing him easier access to my tails.

❝You must >
❝You're not wrong there. It's best not to dwell on the things we can't change, but instead, focus on what we can control.

I'm looking forward to making new memories with you, Mr Luocha.❞

Her past self must have been something special to make him feel that way. She will do her utmost to live up >
"It is, right? While I understand it can be disappointing to miss out on certain memories, we can always create new ones.

We have to go on, no? And not lament past things."

How could he not? Tingyun is an amazing person. >
❝Thank you, Mr Luocha. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Your point of view is quite interesting.

I have to admit, it's a bit disappointing to miss out on those memories, but I shall do my best to work on those feelings.❞

Despite everything, Luocha still wished to create new memories with her? >

Getting to know Tingyun during the journey was very enjoyable. She was such a strong person that had gone through so much.

Homesick is one way to put it. But he truly misses his sister the most.
