Seems to be a LOT of younger players that can cover multiple positions too. Amy Sayer is a perfect example so that could also be an option for Tony. But plenty of other players are getting consistent mins too. Particularly those based in Sweden.

Good win for Hayley Raso’s Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa Cup this morning with a 4-0 win, however the Matildas flyer had had limited opportunities since joining the German club.

Is Raso still the best option for the Matildas on the right?

Great game for Jamilla Rankin this morning including scoring the 3rd goal for Hoffenheim in their 4-1 win over Hamburger moving them up to 3rd in the league.

Rankin had a passing accuracy of 81% among her 74 touches and also had 3 shots on target.

They definitely could have been better.

It wasn’t just the manner of goals but the timing.

Got punished for starting slow and not completing halves.

Could be fatigue or concentration. Either way it hurt us.

Agree that Argentina were far better.

Thought we were much closer to Italy though. May not have dominated the game but could easily have taken something out of it if we’d taken our chances.

The fine margins cost us.

So as it turns out our U20 World Cup campaign comes to an end due to multiple factors.

1. Failure to take chances v Italy

2. Inability to avoid late goals v Argentina

3. Unable to turn dominance into goals v Cuba

1 plus 2 or 3 would’ve got us to 4 points with a + GD.
