Came here wanting an alternative to that other site. It's mostly just films 'n' footy. #COYS https://letterboxd.com/criticalwilliam

That wasn't even the first bit of CGI which took me out of the movie. That was the ships at the start, when I didn't think, "Oh look, there's a bunch of Roman ships." I just thought, "Oh look, there's some clearly-CGI ships."
Whenever I see bad CGI in movies, I just think about the quote from Jurassic Park, about them being so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should.

I just got to the baboons in the first arena fight in Gladiator II, by the way.
Fucking hell. Ange sacked already. It wasn't a good sign that he'd already started getting properly tetchy and defensive in his press conferences. Spurs fans know all about his limitations, and this doesn't make his sacking by Spurs look any less necessary.
Why must every modern movie musical use such obvious autotune? Either hire singers or allow for the small imperfections that sound human. It's like the aural equivalent of the uncanny valley.
Somewhat taken aback to put on Wonka and see in the opening credits that the songs were done by Neil Hannon (from The Divine Comedy). I had no idea.
Jesus fucking Christ, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice producers, just omit the guy from the first film done for child porn, don't make a point of writing out the character and still featuring him in animated form. It still *looks* like the guy done for child porn. Dreadfully poor taste.
That felt like Slow Horses maybe put a toe over the line.
This probably has much more to do with how I feel about Springsteen than how I feel about Jeremy Allen White.
Amount I like The Bear and Jeremy Allen White in it: a lot.

Amount of desire I have to watch him in a Springsteen biopic: not the tiniest bit.
Well done Strictly audience for booting out the 2 creeps first.
I demand that every video game has foxes in it.
The only shocking thing about Ian Watkins' murder in prison is that it took this long.
I watch a lot of films and for the longest while have been noticing the age gap between the male leads and their romantic interest. For the film I am currently watching, the gap is 31 years. That is super creepy.
Then after watching the post-show advert for the new Alan Partridge show, I was trying to explain why it's funny and she couldn't grasp the concept, even slightly.
Conversely, my mum genuinely hated him, calling him "smug and supercilious," because my mum doesn't understand any humour more nuanced than Mrs Brown's Boys.
I've liked Peter Serafinowicz since Spaced and he provided a different flavour to Richard Osman's House of Games to the usual fare. I thought he was really funny.
This probably sounds weird, but when a musical artist I love puts out new stuff that does nothing for me, I feel so, so wretched, and also like *I'm* letting *them* down somehow.

You just can't make yourself like things you don't like, no matter how hard you try.
I can't be the only one who watched the "trial" of Day by the robot worshippers in Foundation (S03E08) and saw similarities to The Truest Repairman in Community, even including the "Jeez, Dennis, are you on coke?" OTT performance from the leader.
Can we invent some alternative result where both teams lose?
Fuck's sake, Xavi, just fucking pass it properly!
Not sure what Odobert's going to have to do now to convince me he's not shit, but it feels like an awful lot.
