It was the one year anniversary of me becoming a published author a couple of days ago, and it still feels surreal. I went out to dinner with my family to celebrate, and afterwards sat with my first book like I was visiting with an old friend. I'm proud, and stunned, that I realized my dream.

I love to read and write characters who are flawed, who have insecurities, who are outsiders looking in. I feel they’re more relatable, and I end up rooting for them and getting far more caught up in their stories than with characters that seem perfect. #Booksky
