if you want to purchase fares online for pierce transit, you can purchase them on transit app, a commonly used app with a feature named GO. if you want to do this on king county metro, you need the transit GO ticket app, which is exclusive to kcm operated services and kitsap transit

why are fareboxes still poorly integrated with the bus itself? like why will fareboxes be set differently than the buses just make it so that the farebox can be kept in line with the bus when an operator logs on

if you ever think your transit fares are complicated, king county metro once had fare zones, peak surcharges, pay on exit, free ride zones, all-door boarding, off-bus payment, and a totally different set of zones for st express service, all at the same time
