They are really cool. I even hope they’ll manage to bring the same DX to some client side code. It’s a really impressive feature.

Not an expert, but I think libraries without tree shaking/ESM tend to snowball quite a lot.

Having `require` or `import * from`, is a big warning for me

Have you run into issues with form actions or remote functions, especially action ones (command and form)?

Just migrated to Cloudflare, and I faced that today.

Pinging @tolin.ski, I think this is his favourite combo. He just released a 3h deep dive on SvelteKit, I haven’t watched it yet, maybe it’s in there. But if not, maybe he has a repo to share 🤔 youtu.be/vkXxFfGwPao?...

Paraglide is really cool. I have yet to try Wuchale, brought to my attention by @khromov.se on YouTube. Have you tried it?

I’m really into serif fonts lately

This article resonates with me. React left us with bad practices that still scar the web today. But flip side: AI could actually fix this faster than we think. Train the models on modern web standards and suddenly the average dev output gets way better, not worse.

I’m curious

I don’t know how Scott did this, but here is a library that makes it super easy to do keyboard shortcuts in Svelte, it’s my go to for this and some other goodies these days: runed.dev/docs/utiliti...

Tracks which keys are currently pressed

I gave Zed a try a few weeks ago, the Svelte extension is the only I miss to switch. The competition in that space is become so intense that I want to get attached to a new editor anymore.

I’m not a sneakerhead, but I wanted these for years. First purchase on SNKRS, checkout with Apple Pay is so good when you embrace if fully.

Super happy

Amen 🙏

I share this luck/stack, but I decided to allow tailwind, not because I like it, but my entire prefers it apparently 🥲

Casually opening Bsky and seeing words of SvelteKit 3… 🥰
SvelteKit 3 / Vite 8 will be built on rolldown. You can use it now if you're adventurous!

If you're not using the new remote functions, it largely works without issue and is much faster.

We'd love help in discovering any bugs that haven't been unearthed yet! Post them at github.com/vitejs/rolld...

I've been using Safari as my personal browser for years (vs Chrome for work), and loving it.

But Safari became soooo unresponsive in the past 3 months, that I started trying the new fancy browsers.

But this morning I tried Safari Technology Preview, and it's fast as I remembered default Safari.

First time I get a message of appreciation from a piece of code I posted on GitHub

On this repo I made to show how to host a MCP server from a SvelteKit project.

Time flies, 5 months ago now, I believe it was the first SvelteKit + MCP example.

MCP grew up so fast

Got super excited that Biome officially supports Svelte.

But I'm too dumb to configure these tools. A few hours trying, I got the combo Biome + Zed to lint my Svelte files, but not my ts ones 🙃

I’ll genuinely keep trying, and maybe learn some more complex stuff than just adding classes everywhere.

Renaming some properties sometimes feel unnecessary.

But overall, it’s having to rewrite css for very single form component that I dislike the most.

I guess in a world where people use a <Button> component instead of a regular <button>, it might be ok, but I think I just like HTML too much
