Dear me, we are going backwards in so many aspects of life but I wasn’t expecting that!
azed.bsky.social
And how do those in the NHS now think Covid is spread I wonder?
azed.bsky.social
Wrong year. Apparently they choose in January. I’m sure he’ll get it next time as long as he carries on going as he has been. How can he not?

Try Pharmadoctor. Flu jab is £20 and Covid jab is £90. Still a lot but a bit cheaper than Boots

This is pretty crucial to consider now. Imagine what happens if Farage, Badenoch or Jenrick decides to go down the same route as Trump on science.

🧵🚨

The UK’s independent scientific bodies are highly vulnerable to politicisation - over the past 5 months I've been working with @martinmckee.bsky.social to map out their vulnerabilities and it's not good news.

Today our report is published!

UK’s arm’s length public bodies are highly vulnerable to politicisation
Seven in ten Britons say it is important for top scientific institutions to be independent in exclusive new polling.

I suspect there are some people for whom what you say is certainly true. Also, for others, they have no interest and do not engage except at election time
azed.bsky.social
I’m not sure that’s right. Most people aren’t that interested in politics so they don’t listen. It’s only at election time that they start to pick up bits of information.

You all have this wrong. As Liverpool is clearly England’s first city all the rest must step down a place 😀

It makes me want to weep. I’m not sure it will gain many votes if that’s the aim
azed.bsky.social
It’s good that you have cast off Twitter at last. Glad to see you here.

I fear he would not be acceptable. He wants back in the EU so they would never have him, sadly
azed.bsky.social
Were people only give a choice of Badenoch or Jenrick? Surely there must be someone better than both of them?
azed.bsky.social
I would have thought the Labour Party would have been a more natural fit. The Lib Dems are probably a bit too left wing are they not?
azed.bsky.social
Is it really that much of a secret?
azed.bsky.social
That would be good news
azed.bsky.social
Exactly this 👇
azed.bsky.social
Yes, good idea

Imagine we had a system that meant we don’t have to constantly negotiate deals with the EU; almost like some kind of symbiotic relationship, where we all act in unison…oh, yeah, a bit like being part of the EU!

Love that. I just want to know why Alan Sugar hasn’t fired her yet!

This is my fear. I don’t want my data anywhere near Palantir any more than it already is
discofornow.bsky.social
Palantir will almost certainly get the contract because our NHS data is already being absorbed by them - Peter Thiel is an evil man and this should be blocked before it's too late.
azed.bsky.social
Who is going to run the i/d scheme? I definitely hope it won’t be Palantir, which seems quite likely 😫

Terrible news about the attack on the Manchester synagogue. Thinking of those who lost loved ones or whose loved ones are injured.
Especially to attack on Yom Kippur, such an important day in the Jewish calendar.

Done!
