Haven't tactically withdrawn from X (FKA Twitter) to use Russian parlance, but I am rebalancing...
Well, looks like George H.W. Bush can breathe a sigh of relief over, "Chicken Kiev", "betraying the Shia rebels", "the economy stupid", and possibly even Iran-Contra. He's been eclipsed by his most recent Republican presidential successor.

Might as well give him a posthumous Nobel...

Non-protesting dad just trying to hustle his kids, as young as 6mo, out of the neighborhood. ICE threw a flash-bang INTO HIS car, all 6 kids in the hospital now.

If anyone wondered how things turn against occupying armies there's a case study playing out in front of you.
That is what was relayed

This is 10th-grader Arnoldo Bazan.

A citizen.

Immigration agents grabbed him and put him in a chokehold.

"We're from the United States bro!' he screamed.

Agents took and sold his phone

And when he finally got home hours later, his shirt was ripped, he neck had angry, red welts, and he sobbed.

There is no universe in which Trump can steal Venezuelan oil, expand Venezuelan oil production, provide enough material benefits to Venezuelans that refugees return home, and democratize the country.

Unfortunately, we are living in weeks where decades happen.

What will this week's decade be?

The US invading a NATO member?

More ICE atrocities against American citizens?

Federal Reserve Chair Powell being indicted on Trumped-up charges?

It is Europe's moment to lead the free world.

If the countries of Goethe, Dostoyevsky, and Picasso, can become the tombs of Hitler, Stalin, and Franco, then America can become the tomb of Trump.

Note that Trump has had electoral support from 30% of voters (2016-24), Hitler had 24% (1930-32), and the Spanish right had 27% (1933-36)...

People trying to rationalize Trump's obsession with Greenland are missing the point. Dictators (and Trump is a would-be dictator) can be eccentric:

Enver Hoxha and bunkers
Mao and sparrows
Castro and dairy and baseball
Duvalier and voodoo
Idi Amin and titles

#Greenland #Dictatorship

I suspect the Democratic response to Trump's tyranny is to do nothing that would "provoke" him to declare an insurrection, and hope to retake Congress in the midterms...

While MAGA bleats on about Ashli Babbitt, ICE has predictably murdered a woman, Nicole Good, who is 2025's Heather Heyer.

Of course, Trump is going beyond "fine people on both sides".

Never let a single goddamned person on the Right ever claim again that they’re the party of law and order without laughing in their lying face.
So Capitol Police officers were assaulted and injured on Jan 6th, the White House today is blaming them for the violence, and the people who attacked them have been pardoned and are back to mock and abuse them on the 5th anniversary.

And the GOP is the party of the police? Really? REALLY??
White House's newly-posted "timeline" of Jan 6 blames Capitol Police for Jan 6, which included an attack on ..... Capitol Police

If you want a laugh, listen to the finance and economics commentators on Bloomberg sanewash Trump's foreign policy and reference the National Security Strategy.

They don't get that homo economicus has left Washington.

The left is unhappy that Cuban soldiers - ensuring that Venezuela keeps sending Cuba 33 to 37 million barrels of oil a year, to the detriment of the Venezuelan people - died defending a dictator.
