the design of the ASP-23 (MiG-23M) HUD is pretty funny to me. It's essentially an oldschool gunsight and a genuine heads up display crammed into a single unit

Simultaneously very ahead of its time with its display of radar/IRST contacts, and yet still clutching to the electromechanical past
massive clunky brick of a HUD Amber HUD symbology of the ASP-23D, (night filter)
Display shows an altitude of 1.4 km, a locked target below and right at a distance of ~12km

Internal fuel volume/Aircraft empty weight.
[Litres/Kilograms]

For Soviet aircraft, fuel volume is total. For US ones, its usable (total-trapped). Empty weight includes oil, oxygen, other consumables (for US aircraft, trapped fuel too). Configurations include the internal guns.

🧵 Later Mosquitos could carry beautifully formed 'slipper' drop tanks, immediately beneath the underside of the wings outboard of the nacelles.
