- i still do want to start a game studio or animation thing at some point but idk if i can do that alone + thats a lot of energy that i sont think i can cultivate at this point in my life.. its fun to dream tho
- doing some kind of video game design related graduate level research..

Like i think optimal reality for me rn would be one of these:
- full time art school doing animation or illustration
- full time cs masters and then phd.. mm computer..
- learning how to do netcode for games..
- learning about trees or someshit idk green plants are wholesome 100

I LOVE IT tho i understand why more games dont use it. I hear hudson really mastered the mechanics behind it in dawn of ys, which i really wanna play.

Tbh falcom did a good job with it in popful mail as well i think.

Xanadu is so immediately complex that it makes this game feel refreshing in its simplicity.

This is a very good engine, and interacting with the game almost felt cozy.

Aside from needing to know how to use spells, most of the game's mechanics do feel well telegraphed. Enemies arent fucking up a secret karma system and u know that picking shit up will make your power, health, and magic go up.

I really do like how sandboxy this game feels tho. As soon as the game starts.. thats it. Figure it out!

This page from the manual really helped my progress a lot tho lmao. I went 3 hours without knowing any spells.
Google translated manual text: Pressing the return key will bring up the magic menu. The available spells are determined by your experience points. You can also use them by pressing the keys directly. Tldr: a good run on a phase lasts like 4-7 hours with no saving.. gameplay is good but sorry falcom i have a life
