I’ve come to realise that, for me, simple ‘roll to hit’ (be it static AC or THAC0) is not as satisfying as a contested roll. The BRP style (Pendragon, Call of Cthulhu) or defence/parry roll of Warhammer and Mythras is both more dramatic and a better simulation of individual combat.

Some worlds just don’t work for #dnd or other fantasy games cos you have to shoehorn in all of the optional species and present them as living within easy-ish access of one another…

Here are the two completed sculpts for this kickstarter, Blombor and Grumple. They are already on their way for casting.

Two green stuff sculpts, one big goblin wearing armour with a horned helmet, there is lots of fur showing through their armour. The other goblin is smaller and wears armour and holds a spiked mace, they have a grumpy face and a long fringe of hair.
