A longer look at the Lidded Lands
A week ago today Art for Guernsey’s latest exhibit, 'The Lidded Lands' opened to the public for the first time.  It features a trio of talented artists, all bringing their own interpretations on how our distant ancestors saw the islands. It’s so much more though, with a story of co-operation and collaboration emerging between James Colmer and Vesna Parchet, and Magnus Buchanan, which in itself is an echo eons in the making.

Recent graduate? Tell the States if you’re coming back home
Current and recent university graduates will be surveyed to understand what might prevent them from returning to and working in the island - other than cost of living and housing pressures. The Guernsey Institute is leading the initiative - christened 'GradRoutes' - to identify any barriers and develop new methods to encourage youngsters to stay. It comes as it's widely recognised many young adults who travel to study in higher education don’t return to Guernsey after graduating.
