yeah that also works! I think that's also an easy indicator of someone being off-screen than inverted tail (and more visually appealing)

I used to draw my strips really huge (had to draw them on two sheets of letter-size cardstock), but I started drawing them smaller in a single legal-size cardstock.

I scan them in at 600dpi, increase the threshold and save them as bitmap TIFF files.

I tend to use a mix of both. Digital sketching, but inking traditionally. I like inking more than penciling, so doing it traditionally is a blessing for me

Oh wow, I forgot about this. I've seen it used a few times, mostly in webcomics and manga (and even then not the most common thing)
