I was excited to see the War Powers Resolution pass the Senate yesterday, and I look forward to voting for it in the House.

We need to be clear: Trump does not have a blank check for war. Invading other nations is under the purview of Congress.

What Americans needed from DHS: a factual statement of remorse regarding the shooting of Renee Nicole Good.

What we got: twisted lies, homophobia, and Kristi Noem in an oversized cowboy hat.

Shame.
January 8, 2026 at 10:26 PM
The Trump Admin's explanations don't survive contact with reality.

We all saw what happened: ICE gunned down an American citizen, and we want answers. Now.

Millions of Americans risk losing health care.

But don’t worry—Republicans are busy debating showerhead legislation on the Floor right now.

Give me a break.
January 7, 2026 at 11:57 PM
The Trump administration is willing to pour billions into foreign wars while Americans lose access to health care at home. Extending the ACA tax credits saves lives here—and that should be our priority.
January 7, 2026 at 11:52 PM
I will fight with everything I have to bring justice for today's deadly Minneapolis shooting and ICE's horrific violence.
January 7, 2026 at 10:11 PM
My heart is with the victim and the Minneapolis community. This is not the first time ICE officials have used lethal force despite the absence of a clear threat. I stand with Senator Smith - ICE needs to leave.
A US citizen has apparently been shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis. I’m gathering information, but the situation on the ground is volatile.

ICE should leave now for everyone’s safety.

Wait, here's a thought - don't break the law, and then you wouldn't have to worry about it. 🤷‍♂️
Trump: "You gotta win the midterms. Because if we don't win the midterms, they'll find a reason to impeach me. I'll get impeached."
January 7, 2026 at 6:08 PM
Expired ACA tax credits risk crushing Vermont's 78,000 small businesses - the backbone of our towns. There is no reason to inflict this suffering on our people and our economy.
January 7, 2026 at 4:33 PM
I will not sit silently while Republicans try to rewrite history. The truth of January 6th will not be erased.
January 7, 2026 at 2:07 AM
It takes extraordinary courage to stand up against Trump for inciting violence, attacking our Capitol, and flouting the law.

Now more than ever, we must speak out against this administration’s wrongdoing and resist their attempts to hide the truth.
January 6, 2026 at 10:39 PM
Right now, Americans are suffering under the weight of whether they can afford the healthcare they need - or are already going without. It’s wrong.

We must provide relief to millions of Americans by extending the ACA tax credits when it comes to the House floor for a vote this week.
January 6, 2026 at 7:10 PM
Five years ago today, Trump encouraged his supporters to attack Congress, the Capitol, and our democracy.

I mourn for the lives lost and for those injured in the violent attack. Today is a reminder that we must not become numb to political violence.

I am committed to defending our democracy.

Kidnapping a foreign leader invites other countries to do the same. The Trump administration just handed China and Russia permission on a silver platter, risking global stability and putting American lives in jeopardy.
January 3, 2026 at 8:20 PM
The kidnapping of Maduro and the attack on Venezuela are blatant violations of international law and the Constitution.

Republicans must stop enabling lawlessness and stand up now.
January 3, 2026 at 7:09 PM
So much for no foreign wars. The President has no legal authority to attack another country or its leaders. He must be held accountable.

New year, new energy, same goal: fight for Vermonters.

I'm fired up and ready to protect healthcare, dismantle monopolies, lower housing costs, defend the democracy, and always hold the Trump administration accountable.

Let's go 2026💪

The 60 Minutes segment on CECOT was pulled at the last minute with no clear explanation.

A political decision made by Bari Weiss and the Trump administration undermines the very foundation of independent journalism. Repulsive.

Here's the segment.

Maria Farmer reported Epstein to the FBI in 1996! They ignored her complaint. So many girls could have been saved from horrible trauma.

These survivors deserve justice. It’s not too late.

Trump is literally laughing at his voters by pardoning a man like Joseph Schwartz. It’s disgusting.

Extrajudicial killings without congressional approval are illegal. Full stop.

Trump and Hegseth don't get to ignore the Constitution or unilaterally deploy U.S. forces against so-called terrorist groups.
House Democrats plan to force votes Wednesday on two war powers resolutions amid escalating tensions with Venezuela as President Trump has warned that land strikes against the country could commence "soon."

Remember when Colin Powell warned us of “a dark vein of intolerance” in the Republican Party? It’s only gotten worse.

We need Republicans to strongly reject this.
🚨 BREAKING: Senator Tommy Tuberville just went full nativist on the Senate floor, telling a sitting U.S. Congresswoman to “go back” to Somalia and smearing immigrants as terrorists.

Here’s the deal:

Pay a secret seven-figure deposit into Trump’s ballroom fund.

Get a president who rewards Big Tech.

Unchecked corruption in antitrust enforcement will destroy American innovation.
