Mount Rainier through the Goat Rocks Wilderness in Washington, along the pacific crest trail.

I will summit Rainier, one day. It will be tough, and tiring and take more grit than I think I have in me. Mountains are tough- the journey is hard. If you stay strong, you'll get to the top.

Public lands go beyond preserving trees - they also protect our histories.

Today we explore the islands in Maine and enjoy the hike to Kennebec River. Yesterday, families grew up protecting the sailors who navigated thru this dangerous river.

The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone at sunrise, captured shortly after I had lost my traveling home to wildfires. In chaos, you can find peace. Sometimes you just have to wake up early and hike to it.

Climbing mountains is hard. The terrain can be difficult, temperatures uncomfortable, and the thin air hard to breathe. It is through the challenge though, that we can find peace.
