Baseball is great. It's MLB that sucks. Also this is 100% a straw man argument. No one rational is suggesting that baseball will cease to exist. They're suggesting that the Dodgers accomplishments would be more meaningful if the playing field were a little more level.
Honestly if they'd have left in the 90s when the stadium bill was in flux I'd have been sad but a little relieved. Supporting a small market team in MLB is frustrating and exhausting.
Wait... you mean season 1 of The Diplomat wasn't a documentary?
I really have no complaints about Love at this point. Even if he's at his peak you can win a title with him. And I don't think he's there yet.
That offense would be less painful to watch if they were awful. They're maddeningly inconsistent. And MLF doesn't seem to know how to fix it.
Well, ok. I'll give you that one. But at least you guys were competitive in the LCS?
He appears to be good at knowing people who are successful. I'll give him that
@brianfarreylatz.bsky.social opening made me lol, although the rest was pretty meh.
For the Sickos
I'm not sure they all did. Some certainly did, but there were at least 2 guys who could have got in on that attempted tackle who didn't. Didn't look to me like everyone on the Cardinals D was on the same page
I should have turned it off right then and there knowing there was 0% chance of them topping that opening.
Lol look at the Chi-Trib try to cope.
I wish it was incredible instead of really unsurprising
I just don't want them to go outside. I get the thought given the inside pressure the Cardinals had called but it's just way too slow developing
I'd like to say it's been a really good defensive performance from the Cardinals but this is really about the inability of MLF's offense to get it's shit together for more than a few plays at a time.
Oh come on.... you wouldn't even play him in the slot? They've only got so many CBs. They have to figure out how to use him at some point.
lol... maybe I'm confusing that one with an earlier play where he missed getting his hand on it by about 6 inches.
He's not good. Although I might give you that he's better than Hobbs outside at this point.
Because the deep safety help, regardless of the talent in the room, has been late getting to the outside on cover 1 and cover 2 all day. I'd still do that anyway (and they still are) but the 3rd down conversion they gave up on a deep route was on Williams who was late getting over.
Gute is the one who went out and paid him and put him on the roster. The range of alternatives to playings Hobbs isn't great either.
As annoyed as I am by the slow start (again) I LOVE the fact that not once but twice a Packers defender went for the ball while making a play on the ball carrier today. Haven't seen that in a long time.
